Capacity Building and Internships

The CEPD runs an internship programme in which young research professionals are developed in all aspects of the Centre's work over a one year period. This programme started in 1997 and the CEPD normally has two interns at any one time. Preference is given to candidates with a Master’s Degree, preferably, but not necessarily, in Education or Public Management. Former interns have generally moved onto responsible positions in the areas of education research or education management. One was appointed, for instance, as a Chief Education Specialist at the national Department of Education; another rose to the ranks of Senior Project Manager here at the CEPD, while a third is a partner in a private educational consultancy.
